The Meaning of At-Taqwa
◆Taqwa is a state of God-consciousness — an awareness of Allah that inspires a person to do good, avoid wrongdoing, and live with sincerity and humility.
The word Taqwa (تقوى) means God-consciousness, piety and righteousness.
